Take Our Kids to Work Day (TOKTW) is November 14th. It is annual event where students step into their future for a day and get a glimpse into the working world. The day involves students in Grade 9, spending the day in the workplace of a parent, relative, friend or volunteer host, where they experience and learn about the world of work. There are no regular classes at school for grade 9 students on this day. In preparation, students will receive their term 1, take-home assignment for TOKTW Day as part of their Career Education 9 course. This assignment includes a letter to parents outlining the program, a permission form that needs to be signed and returned to the Career office by November 8th and an assignment that students will complete at the worksite. Students can pick up a paper copy at school or print one from my website:
